NEW SMYRNA BEACH -- Peter Mallory, co-founder of NSBNews.net with Henry Frederick, won an award for blog writing from the Florida Press Club. He finished third in the 2011 press club "blog writing" category and with the win, NSBNews.net became the first 24/7 exclusively-online newspaper to win an award in the state of Florida. 

Mallory's blog is called "The Right Side" and appears on the home page of NSBNews.net, also known as VolusiaNews.net, New Smyrna Beach's 24/7 online newspaper. It was launched April 7, 2008, by Mallory and Frederick, who also has a distinguished career as an award-winning metro newspaper reporter and city editor.
