DAYTONA BEACH SHORES -- With a convincing win in Tuesday's Illinois primary, Mitt Romney further extended his delegate lead over his principal rival, former Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum. Coming in the wake of Romney's total victory in Puerto Rico last Sunday, which added another 20 delegates to his total, Romney is looking like a lock for the Republican nomination.

DAYTONA BEACH -- Rick Santorum won the Iowa Caucus vote in more ways than some may realize. In fact, he and Romney split the top spot at 25% each with only a handful of votes separating them. Santorum started near the bottom, but surged at the end in Iowa.

His prize? A huge media splash, probably a large boost in donor contributions spurred on by non-stop TV coverage and possibly, though less likely this year, decisions by some of the less successful rival candidates to drop out of the race.

 Far more than any president in my lifetime, Barack Obama has used the executive order to bypass or contravene the legislative authority of Congress.

Our President has been traveling the byroads on his Throw America Under the Bus Tour, in hot pursuit of anti-Republican class warfare all the while denying that he is campaigning so that he can rip off the public by forcing the taxpayers to pick up the cost of the trip.

DAYTONA BEACH SHORES -- Even as the Supreme Court sits to later declare unconstitutional Obama’s attempt to push socialized medicine down America’s throat, our president undertook a new and even greater effort to expand his power. Barack Obama re-issued an expanded version of an executive order entitled “National Defense Resources Preparedness” which would enable him to proclaim himself dictator at his own whim.

DAYTONA BEACH SHORES -- The results of Tuesday’s primaries can be simply described: Santorum won – Gingrich lost – Romney forges ahead.

DAYTONA BEACH SHORES -- There were 10 state Republican primaries and caucuses held on Super Tuesday. The media insists that the only one that really matters is Ohio.

DAYTONA BEACH SHORES -- Mitt Romney carried Arizona and claimed its 29 delegates in what was barely a contest.  He took Michigan as well.

Those delegates guarantee that Romney will leave Tuesday's primaries with the majority of the delegates awarded.

DAYTONA BEACH SHORES -- In the past week Mitt Romney won big in Nevada, where he took 50% of the vote (55% in 2008) and Rick Santorum swept the three beauty contests in Minnesota, Missouri and Colorado.

DAYTONA BEACH SHORES -- Concluding a primary campaign which had become increasingly vicious and personal, Mitt Romney swept aside Newt Gingrich’s challenge and easily re-established himself as the front runner in the race for the GOP presidential nomination with 46.4% of the vote in the Sunshine State.
